Cowboys Casino Case Study

Business Challenge

Cowboys Casino located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada needed to provide secure, convenient and easy access to funds for its clientele and turned to DC Payments Inc. to provide a solution. With modern slot machines built to accept bills only and many cash-only gaming areas, the casino was challenged with providing customers access to their cash without the need to leave the premises.

The Solution

DC Payments deployed 17 polymer note ready ATMs across the casino, providing easy and instant access to cash for customers. The ATMs are strategically placed throughout the establishment with varied withdrawal limits deployed, dependent upon location. ATMs in the ‘high-limit’ area, for example, offer higher withdrawal limits than those in the slots area, meeting the various gaming requirements of Cowboys Casino.

The ATM deployment at Cowboys Casino allows for secure, easy access to cash for casino clientele. By eliminating the need for customers to leave the establishment to get funds, Cowboys prevented the possibility of a lost client while also eliminating the risks associated with carrying cash from one location to another. “ATMs are an integral part of our business model,” said Kevin Meyer, Director of Finance and Administration at Cowboys Casino. “They allow us to offer cash to customers in a safe, fun and controlled environment.”
